New Sculpture park opening today 5/11

Just a note that there will be the opening of a new sculpture park called Sky Boulder today at the corner of Harrison and Alabama from 5-5:30 Commissioned by  the City’s Public Art program, Sculptor Willie Parish has transformed what had been a drainage dam into a sclupture park with 5 large sculptures. One of the designed byproducts of this is that skateboarders and others are apparently supposed to help “creatively alter” the sculptures which are designed to be transformed through marks left. This is apparently not the case with the largest sculpture called  Sky Boulder which is supposed to illustrate the perilous balance in which the earth currently finds itself due to ecological changes.
