Tonight (Thursday 25) Arcangel Constantini, a new media artist from Mexico City will be giving a lecture at the Rubin Center. He explores of visual and sound effect dynamics as well as performances, sound installations, etc. He is responsible for cyberlounge in the new Rufino Tamayo museum, as well as being founder and owner of 1/4 gallery. An independent curator he has received a Macarthur/Rockefeller grant among other awards. We can always use fresh voices in this community, and this seems like something definitely worth the effort.
This is the first in a series of public lectures and events which, in coordination with Mexico, is celebrating the Mexican revolution and El Paso’s ties to it. -david sokolec
