Right now, I only have events for El Paso. Most of the shows in Juarez like the Ismael Guardado show are continuuuing, though INBA is opening a new show on the 16th. If I get more Juarez info, I will add it in.

Meeting of the Cultural Affairs Advisory Board (CAAB) at 4 pm in Council conference room on the 2nd floor of City Hall. On the agenda is information about the peer review panels for funding non profit groups, so if you have applied for a grant you might want to either attend, or read the minutes later. As is the case with all city hall meetings, this is open to the public.

Curator christian Gerstheimer is giving a free zip tour of the Dale Chihuly exhibit at 12:15 at the El Paso Museum of Art.
Thursday May 8
Again at the Museum, as part of the visiting lecture series, Alan Wintermute, who is a Vice President of Christies and who specializes in Old Master’s paintings will give a lecture on Nicolas de Largilliere, portrait painter of the Ancien regime. 6 pm. Free with a reception to follow.
Friday May 9
Art is not Deadshow opening at The Percolator (formerly Lumenbrite Cafe). juan Saldivar, Susan Klahr, Cesar Ivan and David Fleet will be opening this show from 5-pm to closing. 217 N Stanton St.
