Wanted to publish photos from a few of the wonderful altars which were made around town last weekend for Day of the Dead. These come from Centro Municipal de Artes. I know that there were altars in the Pronaf as well as at UACJ. I also regret not having my camera at the Monument Sunday as they made a pretty spectacular altar there. I just want to add that the Aztec altar tried to stick closely to ancient indigenous traditions and was composed of hundreds of seeds and plants. david sokolec
